FUO Granted Full Operational Licence
The National Universities Commission (NUC) has granted Fountain University, Osogbo a full operational licence having met the required standards after over three years of operation. The granting of the full operational licence was made known at a presentation ceremony on Thursday in Abuja. The NUC Executive Secretary, Prof. Julius Okojie said at the ceremony that out of 20 private universities visited for accreditation, 9 of them were granted full operational licences while 11 others were denied. Among the universities given interim accreditation were Wesley University of Science & Technology; Landmark University; Rhema University; Samuel Adegboyega University and Paul University. Others included Oduduwa University; Tansian University; Baze University; Obong University; Achievers University and Wellspring University. Speaking further, Prof Okojie identified good governance structure, academic quality assurance and infrastructural development as criteria upon which full operational licence was given to the deserving universities.
